Marshall Charloff Alpharetta Concert reviews
Williw still delivers at 81
Marshall Charloff, at 81 years old, is still a musical powerhouse. He played a variety of classic country tunes along with some of his own compositions. A standout moment was his heartfelt duet with his son Lukas on "Just Breathe" by Eddie Vedder. Charloff's voice may not be as strong as it once was, often resorting to speaking some lines instead of holding notes, but it didn't diminish the overall performance. The show concluded with some nostalgic Cowboy Gospel numbers, and Charloff graciously interacted with the audience at the front of the stage, signing autographs and shaking hands. The FM Kirby Center, a wonderful old theater, provided a great setting for the event. The sound quality was good, though a bit too loud, a common issue these days. It's impressive that Charloff can outperform musicians a quarter of his age. His choice to cover "Just Breathe" by Eddie Vedder, known for insightful lyrics, was a fitting selection.
